Outgoing DC Kup Inaugurates PHC Tregham, Hands over Renovated Historical Spring to Auqaf Committee
Kupwara, 22 February: Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today inaugurated Primary Health Centre (PHC) here at Tregham which has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.66 crore by the R&B department.
After inauguration, the DC inspected various sections of the hospital wherein he was informed about the newly equipped machinery and services by the concerned authorities. The DC impressed for providing optimal healthcare facilities to the visiting patients.
Meanwhile, the DC also handed over a historical spring to the concerned Auqaf Committee which was recently renovated and made ready for public use. He also interacted with the public during which they highly appreciated the endeavours of DC towards public welfare.
On the occasion DC in his address to the huge gathering said that the building has been established now we can procure the other requirements for this hospital.
DC said thatTrehgam is like his home and the people living here are very hospitable.
“The demand for by-pass has been approved and up-gradation of road besides several other projects has also been approved”, he added.
Meanwhile, The people of Trehgam applauded the role of deputy commissioner Khalid Jahangir in executing the developmental works in the district. One of the prominent citizen, Mohd Ashraf said that the outgoing Deputy Commissioner has changed the work culture in govt offices by ensuring punctuality of employees in all Offices and transparency in execution of developmental works taken up by various agencies. He also added that his concern towards locality particularly Trehgam is hard to express in simple words.
